Corporate responsibility refers to the responsibility for the impact of business operations on the surrounding society and the company’s stakeholders. Corporate responsibility is divided into three areas: environmental, social and financial responsibility.
Environmental responsibility
The starting point of 3 Step IT’s business concept is caring for the environment. We aim to find a new new home for hardware removed from use so that it can be used for as long as possible.
An extended life cycle significantly reduces energy consumption, and the volume of raw materials used and waste produced. Defective devices that have reached the end of their life cycle are recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
3 Step IT has a reprocessing plant for used equipment in Vantaa in Finland, where we can ensure that the resale and recycling of equipment is carried out in accordance with international standards.
3 Step IT’s environmental system is ISO 14001 certified. We regularly assess our environmental operations with the aim of continuously developing our operations towards a more environmentally friendly direction.
Furthermore, our recycling partners operate according to the ISO 14001 principles.
Social responsibility
3 Step IT’s business operations are transparent, supporting sustainable development. Our operating models are open and clear to our customers, partners and employees. In addition, our management model includes continuous assessment and improvement of service quality.
Employees form the most important single resource at 3 Step IT. We look after our employees’ well-being with good working conditions, development opportunities and by using tools that are the most suitable for the needs of work. We provide our employees with a wide range of possibilities for training, and reward them for achievements and work well done.
