Frida Leske, Production Team Manager, explains how her role – and her confidence – has grown since she joined 3stepIT four years ago.

I'm located in Sweden, in Klavreström, and I’m 50% production manager and 50% production worker at a refurb centre. I'm in charge of the smartphone repair area and I have responsibility for the daily work operation and planning for my team.
So some days I can be in the production, testing smartphones and iPads and ensuring that everything works fine. Other days I’m with the repair team, and there is always something to do. We like to find new solutions and develop the team. Sometimes I even jump in and do a little repair on some smartphones just for fun.

How my role developed
The repairs side started with the smartphones four or five years ago, but we only changed the screen, that was pretty much it. Since then we’ve learned everything ourselves. My managers were like ‘OK, just try it, see what you can do.’
About three years ago we started repairing laptops and desktops, changing hard drives and so on. Two years ago we began to do it on a bigger scale. So now it's four people working full time at the repairs, and we’re developing all the time. Now we’re moving to a bigger location where the repair team will have their own space that’s double the size they have now.
The repair thing started here in Sweden, in Klavreström, and now it has been adopted in Finland and Norway and also England I think. We’ve done it because we want to recycle everything. We don't want to throw anything in the junk.

What I like most about the job
I think it's that you never know what the day will look like. There's a big charm in that. There’s so much to do, and different things every day.
I just want to keep going and see how far I can go.

One thing I really appreciate about 3stepIT
They are very willing to give you a chance and to push you to go outside the box and believe in yourself. They see so much potential in young people. When I see how much I’ve changed since I started here four years ago, I'm very happy about it.
First I was just a production worker for two years and then I became team leader. A couple of months ago I became team production manager. In the beginning I was a little bit shy, but they pushed out something in me – encouraging me to believe in myself.
They see things in me before I do. There's so much support from my two bosses – and they push me too.

How I would I describe the culture
We are a very good team together, and we always have fun. People value that so much, that we have fun at work.
