Discovery and planning

We work closely with our customers and partners to understand project objectives and details, including collection sites, equipment types, volumes, timelines, and any special handling or compliance requirements. We carefully survey each location to create a comprehensive project plan to ensure important milestones and timelines are met. Our detailed logistics plans cover scheduling, route optimization, risk mitigation, and the assignment of appropriate vehicles, personnel, and equipment based on the project scope.

Onsite collection and verification

When it’s time to collect your assets, we dispatch dedicated trucks and trained personnel equipped with proper tools, PPE, and documentation to ensure compliance and peace of mind. We have comprehensive asset identification, verification, and labeling processes, using standardized forms or mobile tools to capture serial numbers, asset condition, and client signatures. We also offer a full ‘swept floor’ service, including removal of cages, racks, cabling and other infrastructure items.

Transportation and tracking

All hardware is securely packed, loaded, and transported, with live GPS tracking technology monitoring vehicle movement in real-time. We maintain a secure chain of custody through signed transfer documents, digital logs, and photographic records at each handoff.

Delivery confirmation and reporting

When your assets arrive at their destination you’ll receive delivery verification, chain of custody records, and a final logistics summary report. Daily cadence calls are standard between clients and 3stepIT teams to keep all parties informed. Daily progress reports capture each day's progress, issues, and next steps.

Refurbishment and resale
